High Peak is the name of our ten-thousand-acre, family-owned estate and hunting destination. Located near the famous Rakaia River in the Canterbury High Country of New Zealand’s South Island, we provide personalised adventures for guests seeking to hunt the Red Stag and other New Zealand big game species such as Red Stag, Bull Tahr, Chamois, Bull Elk or Wapiti, Fallow Buck, Arapawa Ram and more.
Hunting and Fishing go hand in hand, and New Zealand has both in abundance. With some of the world’s best fly-fishing right here, it is not surprising that many High Peak clients add a day or two to their hunting trips. High Peak is literally within an hour to some of New Zealand’s best inland waterways and lakes for brown and rainbow trout fishing and mere minutes from the Rakaia, New Zealand’s best salmon river.
