Overview
FULL TIME Captain Tony Bovenzo and I am the owner/operator of Diamond Ghost Charters. I have been fishing salmon and trout for 28 years. We offer sport fishing charters for salmon, trout and perch out of North Point Marina in Winthrop Harbor Illinois, on Lake Michigan. Fishing at its best.
Fisherman know that Lake Michigan has some of the finest salmon and trout fishing in the United States. It is also a world class salmon fishery that offers up a wide variety of species of fish from Coho salmon that starts the spring run in May & June and offer limits of Coho’s that range in sizes from 3 to 5 pounds, with bonus fish such as Rainbow trout (AKA Steelhead) and a few lake trout.
The Chinook salmon (AKA Kings) run starts in July, August and September and runs through the fall. For the fight of a life time, these monsters can run in size from 10 to 25 pounds.
