Ride the Steamboat Horses through wildflower meadows in the summer or take a break from skiing to see snow-covered aspen trees in the winter. We operate in the Mt. Zirkel Wilderness Area and the Routt National Forest under a US Forest Service special use permit. The guides and wranglers are all experienced horse riders. Some have served as guides for most of their lives. Most of our horses are raised on the ranch and trained locally. Most hourly rides are on private land and state trust land.
