Cold River Guide Service
Overview
Cold River Guide Service and Outdoor Outfitters LLC provides fly fishing instruction and guiding in southwestern New Hampshire and south eastern Vermont.
We service beginners and experienced anglers and design packages to fit your needs. Initial casting and equipment instruction can be offered, guiding for those unfamiliar with our home waters, or we can combine both.
Much of our guiding takes place on the 22-mile Cold River which runs through the rural towns of Unity, Lempster, Acworth, Alstead, Langdon and Walpole, including exclusive access to a 2 1/2 mile stretch of private water.
The Cold River is a fishery that receives very little fishing pressure, so solitude on the river is the norm. On top of hatchery stocking each year, the river contains native brook and brown trout and in the lower reaches near the Connecticut River there is a healthy population of smallmouth bass.
