Blue Heron Resort

We are the only resort on the lower Spanish River, which offers some of the best fishing in Ontario. It is also a great place for bird watchers, nature lovers, photographers. The three main species of fish that anglers come for are: Walleye, Smallmouth Bass, the Northern Pike, but we also have Perch, Crappie, panfish, and others. Sometimes you can even tie into the occasional Largemouth Bass. Muskie and Sturgeon are around, so don’t be surprised if you tie into one of these lunkers. If you have your own boat equipped with downriggers, you can get into some deep water to troll for Lake Trout and Salmon.
