Overview
Alaska Coastal Outfitters offer guided hunts for Brown and Black Bear in Alaska and was founded in 1985.
From the days of the early Russian settlers until now, access to the islands of Southeast Alaska has been by boat. We conduct our hunts from the 50 foot vessel BEAR in the protected waters of the Inside Passage. Accommodations are excellent. The brown bears of Southeast Alaska are the Shiras sub-species of brown bear. We have been guiding brown bear hunters in this area since 1985. Contact us for more information. We have been hunting this area for black bears since the mid-70's and guiding other hunters since the mid-80's. The spring hunts are conducted along the shorelines and grass flats in the spring and the salmon spawning streams in the fall.
